If those moments of overwhelm and stress suddenly kick in, someone in the office needs something urgently, you need to drop everything suddenly, or maybe you have finally managed to sit down and your mind is racing.

Here are 3 ways you can tap into this where ever you are to bring you back and allow some calm to return.

  1. Take a slow breath in and seeing if it’s possible to let the exhale through the nose a little longer. Do this 3 times and see how you feel.

  2. Try placing both palms of hand on your tummy, let your breathing settle and notice the breath as it move the palms forward and back. You are not changing your natural breathing pattern, just observe how that is for you.

  3. Place one palm at the back of the head under crown and one palm on the forehead, let the shoulders move away from your ears and elbow become a relaxed.

Next time those feeling of stress levels rising try one of these practice see which one makes a difference.

So before starting that urgent task, needing to drop everything urgently or just sitting down with your cup of tea.
